PEACE ONE DAY
Peace One Day 2010
September 21, 2010 was a great event in our gymnasia again. Celebrating Peace Day has become a tradition and the students usually look forward to it. Making peace doves with the help of origami, drawings and posters, poets' corner where one can hear poems about peace and friendship, planting trees - symbols of peace - these are the activities we enjoy doing.
The students of 4 and 6 grades watched a video about the beginning of celebrating Peace Day all over the world.
The students of 3, 4 and 6 grades drew pictures and posters about peace on the paper and on the pavement.
But there was an unusual thing - game theraphy " Colour the world bright". We used a parachute for this activity. It symbolizes our world which we want to make as bright as a rainbow. All the participants(aged 9-14) enjoyed the games with a parashute. Their favourites were "Giving a helping hand" and "A shelter".

Planting trees -symbols of peace
September 21 was a great event as we also celebrated both the 10th anniversary of ENO . The students looked forward to that day.
Planting trees has become a school tradition. The students watched presentations and films about ENO and Tree Planting Day, made posters about the role of trees in our life and sang "Hi and Ho". We planted 70 bushes on the territory of our school to make the world greener and more peaceful. We were happy to join the whole world in planting trees.

Besides, we were happy as little children from a kindergarten 15 together with their educators and headmaster had joined us in making peace doves and planting trees.
